I save everything in folders divided by categories like "Female Model: Medieval," "Female Model: Greek," "Location: Castles" and so forth. If I have a lot of one particular type of category, I put it in a subfolder. Example: Main folder is "Location: Trees" and the sub folder is "Cherry Blossoms"
Also, since most of what I do is use stock as reference in drawings, when I print out a stock image, I jot down on the back of the paper the file name and the stock provider.
