The Stars Look Very Different Today

This is probably the hardest personal journal I've ever written   It is with the saddest heart I want to say a very grateful thank you to everyone who has sent their good wishes, thoughts and prayers for my dad over the last few months, it has meant so very much to us.  There are many of you who have been on this rough journey with us, and your support and friendship is valued beyond compare - no matter how far away you may be.

My dad sadly lost his battle with lung cancer on the 22nd January. His funeral is on Friday.

2015 and the beginning of 2016 has been an emotional rollercoaster for us with dad only being diagnosed in March 2015, my wedding to ReapingFields on the 29th November at the very beautiful Peckforton Castle, and then Christmas and New Year to make it though surrounded by friends and family.

We will at least have the wedding to cherish as despite how sick he was my dad still managed to walk me down the aisle - without either of us falling over and setting the place on fire and I couldn't have been more proud to be his daughter or to be marrying my best friend and soul mate in a fairy tale location - only made possible with our parents generosity.

My dad will always be my greatest inspiration to fight for my dreams no matter how tough things get, and to try as much as I can to stay positive - because life is cruel and far far too short.  I only hope that wherever he is  - he will be sat on a beautiful veranda somewhere on the French coast overlooking the sea, and his Porsche whilst sharing a pot of tea and my nans cake with Alan Rickman, discussing rallying events with Richard Burns and Colin McRae whilst they listen to David Bowie crooning over his guitar in the corner - after all - anything is possible.
