I have been able to adapt all the styles and techniques (that I have tried).
It's not really a "look at me" bragging kind of thing. It's a "Oh no, ...you will NOT get past me on this, --even if takes me all [Insert some amount of time here] I will get this! kind of thing/mindset.
It's matter of serious practice hours poured in, and careful study and critique. The often talked about, "10,000 hours of practice to become good at something" is the goal.
The only activity that I can't seem to get into that "zone" for is chess.
