So, the holiday season is upon us, and I am writing this from a computer that has been attacked by tinsel and other shiny things that keep distracting me!!

^PirateLotus-Stock and I wish our entire stock and resources community a safe, magical and warm festive season no matter when or how you celebrate! After the recent devastating news of the killings in Connecticut its a hard reminder that family and friends can be swept away from us in the blink of an eye, so cherish them and smother them in love every chance you get. We all know that there are many out there who won't be able to, and we send you our love.

The stock community has been ticking along quite nicely the last month or so which is lovely to see, we really dislike drama affecting the stock & resources galleries and try to head it off where we can! This is a reminder to everyone that we are here to help you, n

Making Yourself Available
We can't stress this enough. Stock is not something you can post in your gallery then ignore unless your stock is completely unrestricted and no further contact with you is necessary.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR CONTACT DETAILS ARE UP TO DATE AND EASY TO FIND!
Erin, Jade and I have had a LOT of frustrated artists messaging us recently about the fact that they are simply unable to get in contact with stock providers who require notification of use or commercial information.
Its unfair to place restrictions on your stock then not uphold your end of the bargain by not responding to requests from artists who are following your rules by contactin

Gallery Description Updates
Yesterday saw the release of the new "stashy" submit page to A/B beta testers hailing the promotion and better definition of gallery descriptions aimed at improving, helping and preventing the age old problem of miscats (which everyone hates except the people who miscat in the first place)

As you can see from the previews the gallery selection area is now accompanied by examples and the description - which is where you come in. The stock and resources gallery has seen a LOT of changes over the years making the range of descriptions for individual sub categories quite a mixed bag!

The other week, a piece of my writing was selected for a Daily Literature Deviation. If you're curious you can see the article here. Celebrating Diversity #12This edition of Celebrating Diversity I want to focus on two extremes of art: Extremely detailed and realistic works and minimal and abstract art. Both tendencies or trends have their place and time in art and history and are appreciated by many people. Not always does one person like both, but to me personally, art has always been more about feeling, than about complexity. Something simple can touch me emotionally as well as something blasting with details. Art is just as individual as every human being!
