Ah Lincoln Cathedral!  Immediately recognisable!  Lovey shot Elandria,  just realised this is from the Rood Screen looking towards the front of the Cathedral.   So far as churches go, one that isn't visited much but really is worth visiting is St Giles RC Church located in Cheadle, Staffordshire.  Here is a google map link to that church if you are interested. :  www.google.co.uk/maps/place/St…   If you do go make sure to take some pound coins as the lighting is toll based using £1 coins.

St Giles is a stunning church, I'm a complete fan of Pugins works, I think if I had the chance I'd go back to uni just to study his major impact on architecture :D  We visited about 10 years ago, but its a great reminder we should go back!  I wish more of the bigger cathedrals still retained all of their internal decoration rather than being plain stone!  Hope you've been well!

There is a local church near to me in Blackpool which was done by the Pugin family (Sacred Heart  Church Blackpool), Pugin's family sure got around a lot.  I always keep my eye out for other Pugin pieces of work.  I think the last Pugin church I visited was St Chad's Cathedral in Birmingham.  In general they don't allow photography at St Chad's though I sought permission and it was granted.  I gave them the source photographs and did an hard to shoot hdr photo of a specific stained glass window which they wanted but couldn't get themselves.  As for me I am fine thanks! :D  Hope you are doing well Choccy monster! :D

Hi I used this image here [link]

This is a great picture. It's hard to make something look this wonderful with such rich colours when it is so dimly lit. It's the best shot of Lincoln Cathedral I've ever seen. Thanks for the great stock :D

This is very saddening. Not your picture, it's beautiful but having a beautiful cathedral being ruined by plastic chairs! They should be ashamed. I grew up in a church with wooden pews that's basically this kind of architecture, I couldn't imagine sitting in plastic chairs.

But this is a beautiful picture!

Most cathedrals now have plastic chairs, makes it much easier for them to move them about and reorganise them if they are having a special event on in the nave. I agree though, they are tacky and out of place, but I can't help being delighted when I see a nave empty of the chairs in all its glory!

The architecture here is absolutely stunning. :o I might have to model that building in 3D sometime. :D

And it's spelt "Spatial"... ;)

It is beautiful and it would be a cool challenge in 3D  What 3D software do you use?

Also..
spa·cial is an official alternative spelling of the same adjective spatial ;)

Really? I didn't know that... *searches* 'Ey, so it is. xD Never seen it used though, which is why it looked... wrong. But it's not incorrect, at least. :)

And I use 3D Studio Max. :)

Cool not fiddled in Max for a few months, was working on a castle that quickly became erm.. rather bigger than I originally was planning (Isn't that always the way lol) Its now something more of a citadel .. but plays hell with render time etc

I did for a moment go "did I really spell that wrong?? Better check and fix it then!" lol

BAHAHA. :D Story of practically all my personal projects, mate. Start something out of impulse, get distracted and/or disheartened, and leave it unfinished. S'pose it'd pay to go back to all my old projects and finish 'em off.

Anyway, something like a fortress or citadel shouldn't play hell with render time unless you had sampling turned up high, or had a hell of a lot of light bounces thrown around.

lol not even started adding textures or lighting yet :XD: I blame ~ManicDepressant and his insistence on making me go "GAH!" whenever I look at his max castle... :<
Devil is in the details!! Plus at the moment I'm only using my duel core comp and not the quad core. Once I get going we network them and use them as a bit of a mini render farm :XD: (That is when they behave themselves lol)
