A cloud momentarily releases the moon from its soft embrace, casting a cool glow across the wild moors and the white eyes of the lone tower staring blankly towards the sea.
Within she glides silently across the marble floor casting her magic about the room with wanton disregard for the consequences, knowing that beyond the towers barred doors, the outside world will never see what she sees at midnight.
A couple of photos I've had for a while were used as references for the face and hands though there are no actual photos used at all in the final piece!!!!!
THIS IS NOT A PHOTO MANIP!!! AND THIS IS ALSO NOT STOCK ART!!!!! STEAL IT AND I WILL CHASE YOU DOWN AND REMOVE YOUR SPLEEN WITH A BLUNT SPOON!!!!!!!!! Gggrrrrrrrrrr
Many thanks to for the glow strings from here: [link] and to for the Fancy Borders here: [link] and the dragon motifs from here: [link]
Time: Its taken me about 4 weeks on and off to get it to this stage, I kid you not. Tools: Photoshop CS2, my brain and the small amount of talent I have. Inspiration: Was originally going to call this The Dragon Queen, but couldn't be bothered to draw any dragons. I'm so lazy.
GREAT JOB,
I never seen a picture like this.
Its wonderfull!

Okay, so how did you do all of this because it's just stunning! Wacom, digitally painting layer by layer? Photo used as well, etc? I'm interested to know, because this is just stunning on every level.
This is.. gorgeous. Amazing. I am in total awe--yes, I think you've managed the fabric -quite- well! I would say that you definately posess more than a 'small amount of talent'. How did you get the fabric on her dress to look so... satin-y?
Amazing. From the face to the superb detail in the clothing, you have done a fantastic job. Truly awe-inspiring.
I have seen your stock which is so useful as reference for fantasy artists (and for photo manip, as well, I'm sure). I can tell why you know what artists want for stock as you are such a talented fantasy artist yourself.
I am truly awed by your skill, and your creative vision.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
There are a lot of themes that run through the stock gallery many people have similar ideas but they pull them off in different ways. In this series of newsletters we will look at similar ideas but different outcomes.

When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
