You are a broccoli, but a broccoli on a mission to save the world, whats your first plan of action?
I'd be all like "IT'S MORPHIN' TIEM" and I'd get my friends Carrot, Pea, and Spinach and we'd morph into our super cool Veggie Ranger suits and then form the Megaveg and destroy buildings and shit while fighting whatever's threatening the world.
If you could only submit one type of stock for the rest of your DA life, what kind would it be?
Oh, probably model. Actually I kind of hate all
What Makes Stock Rock for You with AeirmidStock & Resources
Thank you to Aeirmid for being my interviewee!
You've been on DeviantArt for several years now and have been photomanipulating for many of those, in terms of the yearly increase in availability of stock and resources on the site do you feel that it has it helped or hindered your personal creativity?
:iconaeirmid: Yes! In fact, I came to dA as a photomanipulator, LOL! It has been a lot of fun to watch the stock community develop over the years. It has especially been inspiring to watch the stock providers who have been here for a long time grow and change, while maintaining the high quality of their galleries. It has also been inspiring to see newer stock providers who are coming up these days, with their exciting ideas and vision. So, really, I feel like over the 9 years since I joined, the dA stock galleries have inspired me greatly.
One thing that has hindered my personal creativity, though, is the fact that there are a few stock providers who, while inc
Winners of the Craft a Mo' ContestHuge congrats to our winners, and a big thank you to everyone who took part in the contest and grew Mo's for Movember this year!! You are all stars!!
What is Movember?
During the month of November each year, Movember asks men across the world to grow a moustache (or Mo') with the aim of raising vital funds and awareness for men’s health issues. Mo Bros are helping to change the face of men’s health by effectively becoming walking, talking billboards for the 30 days of November and through their actions and words raise awareness by promoting private and public conversation around the often ignored issue of men’s health. Together, we are truly changing the face of men’s health.

Stock and Resources Updates Feb 2013Heading Into 2013
We are well on our way towards the warmer part of the year for those of us who live in the Northern Hemisphere, and whilst we shake off our winter blues and snow boots, our Southern Stockers have been wowing us with new beautiful stock and resources (whilst sweltering in the heat!)
The gallery cleanup is still going on, but with a reminder to be patient with us, we know its not easy but we have a very VERY big gallery and just a few people (mostly just Erin and myself) tackling the issue, but its not been forgotten or ignored. Erin and I are also very busy with home life as well
If you feel we've missed out on a sub category (sadly this is very likely right now as we concentrate our efforts on the most used/submitted to areas) please feel free to note us and point us in the right direction!

Digital Art - Mixed MediaGalleries Month
What is Mixed Media?
Digital Mixed Media refers to deviations that have been created using combination of at least two DIGITAL art forms: digital painting, airbrushing, 3D objects, fractals, photographs, vectors, etc. There is a misconception that this category is meant for artworks combining both traditional and digital techniques, however this is not true, as Traditional Art also has its own Mixed Media sub-category. In the case of an artwork created using both digital and traditional techniques, it's up to the artist to decide in which category it should go.
Mixed Media focusing on the formal, non-representational aspect of imagery, emphasizing lines, colors, generalized or geometrical forms.

Digital Art - AnimationGalleries Month
What is animation?
Animation is the illusion of movement created from the quick sucession of static images with minimal differences between them. Today there is a great variety of animation techniques that include traditional animation (a sucession of frames, drawn digitally or traditionally), stop motion (photographs of real life objects), 3D animation (created with computer software), rotoscoping (tracing a live action sequence, frame by frame) and a large etcetera.
The Digital Art > Animation gallery is intended for animations of all kinds, as long as they were made with digital mediums and they're NOT in Flash or video format (usually in GIF format).
If the animation was made with traditi
Fan Fiction Has a New HomeLiterature > Fan Fiction
As many of you have noticed, the Literature gallery gets a huge influx of fan fiction submissions. We're hoping that by having Fan Fiction under the Literature umbrella, the number of miscats in the overall gallery will drop. And, for those of us who frequent both galleries, it'll simplify submitting and finding work.
Of course, we can't cut down on miscats without your help! Please spread the word by favoriting and sharing this journal, and by moving any of your own submissions as appropriate.
Not sure whether your submission counts as fan fiction? :faq572:
(Note that gallery updates for both Literature and Fan Fiction is in the works. Please continue to use the category that best fits your work.)
You're welcome to bring your concerns to us at any time!

Digital Art - Drawings and PaintingsGalleries Month
The Digital Art - Drawings and Paintings gallery is one of the fastest growing galleries here on DeviantArt. Within the gallery, members of the community will discover a wide variety of styles as the possibilities for Digital Drawings and Paintings are endless. So what exactly are Digital Drawings and Paintings? Is there even a difference between the two? Well, in this article I will explain exactly what Digital Drawings and Paintings are as well as why they are indeed different.
Digital Drawings and Paintings Defined
Let's begin with something easy such as defining what is considered Digital art. Digital art is any artwork that is created using digital software and/or tools. In the simplest of terms, your art is considered to be digital if it was created using a device such as your computer, digital tablet (ie: iPad), a Nintendo 3DS, or even your cellular phone! Digital artists often will use tools to

Literature > Prose > Nonfiction
What belongs in the nonfiction gallery?
Loosely speaking, nonfiction is anything true. This includes stories from your childhood, journalistic accounts of what's happening in the world today, and opinions, even when they're about fictional topics.
So writing about why you think Loki x horse is the best ship ever could go to the Editorial gallery, but actually writing a story about the birth of Sleipnir belongs in (fan) fiction.
The Editorial gallery is a place to submit pieces that take a definite side. A review will let the reader decide whether or not they want to look into something, but works submitted here say 'this is my opinion, and here's why it's a good opinion.' A persuasive essay can be an editorial, too.Academic Essays is pretty self-expl

The unique thing about Anthro art is that it can take different shapes, sizes, and forms! There is no "right" or "wrong" way to draw or portray Anthro art because like fantasy art, they do not exist so there is nothing to "reference" them off from. Only our imagination.
Here are some features of animals that have been anthropomorphized!

PE: Chat Scavenger HuntWelcome to our projecteducate Chat and Forum week chat scavenger hunt!
We have put together a fun way to browse the chats while learning a bit more about what makes them so great.
The overall goal is to have fun and take some time to get to know other chatters along the way. This hunt isn't about who gets through it the fastests so please do take your time, work at your own pace, and most of all, remember to have fun!
We have worked hard to make clues easy to follow without just giving them away. Be sure to pay attention to messages as you enter rooms, or links that stand out. Many rooms list rules or other important tidbits in the rooms topic and/or title. These are great places to pay attention to as well.
Don't be afraid to ask other chatters questions about the chats, take some time to make new friends or just get to know someone. If you'd rather do this with a friend, feel free to bring one or more along for the ride.
