Do you have to kick it as you walk sometimes?

The front not normally, you either pick the skirts up a bit with your hands or glide so the front of the skirt, and the hoop underneath stays away from your feet. The train yes you do end up kicking about to get it out the way. Don't forget though this is a rather exaggerated train, and most women would never have worn anything so long unless they were incredibly rich or getting married.

True. Thanks. Im still intrigued with styles in the Middle Ages though when the castles had reeds and straw covering the floors and women wore incredibly volumnous and extra long skirts that puddled on the grouns all around them. I guess they just kicked, glided, dragged and held up their skirts plus I they never went out in the filthy streets much ??

Again even more so Ladies of higher class or nobility would have ladies in waiting to help with their dresses, check any medieval lifestyle painting/illustration and the ladies in the big dresses will be accompanied, or the style of dress will be hitched up under their wide belts (in terms of the Burgundian which got to ridiculous lengths) Extremely long bell sleeves were popular and they used to tie the ends up to stop them dragging on the floor as well. They wore clogs over their court shoes to avoid the mud if they did go out, but again thats why they had wide edging fabric that could be easily replaced when worn and very dirty etc and servants to do menial tasks.

Oh, but it was so hot and steamy, I can't resist bringing it up every now and then.

Doing okay, methinks... hard to find models that aren't... well... pains in my bum. Everybody wants pictures, but now that I actually have a decent camera, they have to pick their nose or get their hair done, or fix their owie, or apply cream for their irritated faces.

*smirk*

... you need more incentives... try "if you don't shut up and pose for me properly I'll just post up this one of you picking your nose that I took before instead.."
