:D I love the places we go, just really saddens me that our culture in general won't ever make these kinds of buildings ever again. Its all steel and glass and modernism, which is fine in its place, but you can't beat the atmospheres of some of these.

don't count us out yet - it's cheaper/faster/easier to use the "modern" materials - but I would love to create somethign more monumental and gorgeous, and I plan to at least try! (Masters in Arch is my plan, thus far) I haven't had a chance to visit the ld World buildings yet, but oh do I want to!

In the meantime - take wonderful photos and we will plot new 'old' buildings in secret! :D

Oh yeah! I want a hobbit house - only people sized :) with a big round door and arched ceilings and all that...

or, a tree house, like the Tayledras in Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar novels!
